More Astrology: Tarot Cards, Runes, I Ching, and Coin Toss

I am going to be less Debbie Downer today :) As I have stated before, I love Astrology and All of that, so I wanted to share one of my favorite sites with you. This site has many different online reading options, which is awesome and fun all in one! You can ask for a Tarot Card reading (Arrangements of cards in a spread that helps to determines what each card refers to to help you realize an outcome -- by far the most popular and fun Astrology reading in my opinion), Runes reading ( Arrangement of the 24 runes (letters) of the old Futhark alphabet in a spread that helps to determines what each card refers to to help you realize an outcome), I Ching (I Ching involves casting coins or yarrow stalks to build a hexagram -- can be quite vague but fun), and even just a coin toss (which we have all done a time or two :). SO go ahead and have a little fun, no one else needs to know and who knows, maybe it will help you make a choice or a great change in life!

What is Wrong with Us: Venting on the Human Race Part 2

I am having issues today with the problem of crime. I for one think that we have too much crime and not enough punishments. It is like our society in a way. People raise their kids with not enough discipline. They do not tell them what they are doing is wrong or punish them for behaving badly. They just politely tell them not to do it and hope that it works, but just shrug if it does not, like there is nothing else they can do. I have children, I do discipline them and they know the difference between right and wrong. Wake up people, your kids are not perfect, NO ONE IS. You have to make sure they are aware of what to not do in life. People do not want to have to deal with your bratty children. Then they grow up to be criminals, and it’s all because you just let them get away with everything, not telling them NO. Now our country has so much crime, we barely have enough room for all the inmates. I think we should make punishments harsher. Make life in prison not so nice. Oh but that would be inhumane you say. Is it not inhumane to expect the rest of us to live in fear of being shot, or robbed, or raped? I think it is. I say we send the message that if you want to do a crime you will pay the price, and a high price. Not death, but just a real crappy life behind bars or in a very inhospitable environment.

What is Wrong with Us: Solutions to Part One

Yesterday I vented on my disgust for our country and what we allow to happen. I posted that link on my Facebook account and was asked what should we do about this.. I did not have the answer but will quote one of my friends: "Let us insist that school districts should not only inform on absence of children from classes but find out their status. Let us demand that the republicans who do not want increases in minimum wage describe a mechanism to address this issue. Every time a politician says keep government small and out of our business ask him or her how they plan to care for the rising group of homeless children. What is the status of unemployment benefits? We pressure all the politicians of our states to address these issues tangibly. Let us not allow them to focus on the issues that will bring more money into the coffers of their wealthy friends and associates." --Dr. Fedora Sutton This is not the full or only way to solve these problems but it would be a start. We need to start a revolution for change in our government for the better. A real change that will solve our problems. But how do we start, that is the question. How do we get it to work in a country of so many people?

What is Wrong with Us: Venting on the Human Race Part 1

This disturbs me that we allow this to happen anywhere in the world, let alone our own country http://abcnews.go.com/US/wireStory/report-child-homelessness-rise-us-26960391 There are soo many things wrong with our country, seriously. But one of the worst things we do as a human race is allow children to suffer. ARE YOU KIDDING ME......... Who in their right mind wants to allow children to suffer? Well let me tell you who: Those of you that want to cut social services in the end allow it. Those of you that do not want to raise minimum wage to a decent livable amount in the end allow it. Those of you that want to allow businesses the right to loopholes that allow them to cut jobs in order to line their own pockets in the end allow it. Those of you that dislike and vote down unions in the end allow it. When you vote for or choose to support any program that benefits business OVER human beings, you are supporting to end the end allow people to suffer, especially hopeless little children who have no control over any of this, but you do. And all your ignorant comments on how businesses will not thrive if we keep these programs or stop loopholes are going to a deaf ear. They will thrive, sixty years ago businesses were thriving tremendously without all the loop holes and overall the American economy was booming. And as far as Social Services go, we need to help people; at some point in our lives everyone needs some kind of help. Period. You cannot do everything yourself. Businesses get more social service type money that all the people in America combined. Way More. And we complain about a little bit of our taxes going to helping out poor people. What about all of your tax money going to the big businesses after they take all the rest of your money when you pay for food, or clothes or any of those other luxury items? Do you really think they need our money and our help? Well you give it to them by allowing them to not pay the taxes they should or not pay their workers a fair wage. Wake up people. We are allowing our country to go down this road. Good Job at sucking to support and take care of each other.

Life

I have been absent from this blog a while, though I was not very good at keeping up with it in the beginning. Guess my idea to get a blog going and share my wealth of knowledge with the world has fallen short. I had a health scare and it really got me thinking about life. Which I know sounds cheesy, but really, life is short and we don't think about it that way all the time. But really who can afford to think like that at most times. Most people have to work to pay bills, take care of kids and just live. It would be nice if we could quit our day jobs and do what we really want with our lives with no fear of running out of money or being homeless. I would love to spend my days saving children and making sure they are fed while curbing pollution, but in reality it will never really happen. Which is sad because I believe that if we all spent our days doing what we really love to do the whole world would be a much better place. A person can dream can't they?

Tammy’s Common Sense Ways to Live a Better Life: #10 Be Honest

Be Honest: I think that of all the ways I have said can help you live a better life, this one is the hardest by far and I will tell you why. We all think of ourselves as honest, but in the end are we really? Are you really honest to your partner everyday. How about your boss or your kids? What is even harder is being honest with ourselves. I know I am not honest with myself everyday, and if I can't people honest with myself who can I be honest with? I tell myself it is ok that I said that mean comment, or its not my fault that this or that happened, but really that is not the truth. Most things that happen to me in a negative way in the day our overall my fault in the end, cause maybe I put myself in that situation or I started the whole ball rolling. In reality, we can only expect so many reactions from our own behavior. If I start out being disrespectful can I really expect you to be respectful back? Should I really eat that fourth donut, or drink that fifth soda, no but I tell myself its ok this one time. So really truly try to be honest with yourself. You will thank yourself in the end, I really do think so. http://www.buzzle.com/articles/is-honesty-the-best-policy.html

Tammy’s Common Sense Ways to Live a Better Life: #9

Do Something You Love: In my opinion, life is not complete unless you enjoy what you do in it. It does not have to be your career, though that would be best, but at least spend some time each day doing something that you love to do. http://money.usnews.com/money/blogs/outside-voices-careers/2011/03/03/how-loving-your-job-helps-you-succeed As for me, I do not do what I love for my job but include what I love in everyday things. For example, I love to watch movies and would love to be a movie critic, but of course I am not, but I still enjoy movies as often as I can. I also love to read books and dream of some day being a full time writer, creating stories that people love to read and talk about. I also do my best to be involved in charities, my true passion is helping the world through activism and volunteering, so I do all that I can with in spare time. Spending my spare time on something that I love gives me great pleasure and makes me much happier, allowing me to also enjoy the rest of my life even more. http://stress.about.com/od/funandgames/a/The-Importance-Of-Hobbies-For-Stress-Relief.htm So please find something you love to do.
